Via Lecce · Torre Lapillo
Salento cooking
My pick for a local dinner near your accommodation. The restaurant describes its cooking as rooted in Salento traditions.
Hotel Alba · Torre Lapillo
Seafront restaurant
An option for dinner by the sea: Hotel Alba’s restaurant offers an à la carte menu to non-residents too.
Porto Cesareo coast · Torre Lapillo area
Beach club
Likely match for “togo” in your notes. Your friend recommended the beach club, not a separate restaurant. Check opening and food service for your chosen date.
Via Silvio Pellico 17 · Porto Cesareo
Seafood / terrace
My choice for a town dinner with a panoramic terrace. The official menu includes raw seafood, pasta and grilled fish.
Porto Cesareo
Salento seafood and meat
Another option for a Salento dinner, with both seafood and land-based dishes.
Punta Prosciutto
Seafront seafood
My suggestion for a meal during your beach day. The venue presents seafood cooking by the sea; check September service.
Piazza Santa Caterina · Nardò
Restaurant / trattoria
Your friend’s food recommendation in Santa Caterina. This is a likely name match: confirm the venue and hours before booking.
Via Cantù · Santa Caterina
Terrace / contemporary cooking
My alternative for lunch, dinner or an aperitivo on a sea-view terrace. The venue describes contemporary Mediterranean cooking with Japanese-Brazilian influences.
Via Lata 91 · Nardò
Seafood in the historic centre
My pick for an evening in town. The site lists seafood cooking and Wednesday closure; check your chosen day. Despite its name, this is a new suggestion, not your friend’s recommendation.
Gallipoli
Seafood / sea-view terrace
My suggestion for a seafood dinner during your Gallipoli evening. The site features a sea-view terrace; ask specifically about terrace seating if that matters to you.
Santa Maria di Leuca · marina area
Seafood and meat
My pick for dinner before driving back. The site describes seafood and land-based dishes in a garden setting near the marina. Your friend recommended the Leuca sunset, not this restaurant.
Via Annunziata 19 · Polignano a Mare
Bar / aperitivo
The bar recommended by your friend. Use the Via Annunziata 19 address; the Via San Benedetto club is a separate venue.
Polignano a Mare · location to confirm
Restaurant not identified
Mentioned twice by your friend, including as a fish restaurant. Ask them for a Maps pin; no uncertain venue has been assigned to this name.
Piazza Aldo Moro 6/8 · Polignano a Mare
Fish sandwiches / casual lunch
My casual-lunch option for fish sandwiches and fried seafood. Visit Piazza Aldo Moro 6/8; Via Marconi is the company and logistics address.
Polignano a Mare
Seafood restaurant
My alternative for a sit-down seafood meal. This is a different venue from “Da Vittorio”, not a correction of your friend’s recommendation.
Via Monte San Michele 25–29 · Alberobello
Local cooking / trulli
My choice for lunch while exploring Rione Monti: local cooking in a complex of trulli.
Via Dura 19 · Locorotondo
Traditional / seasonal cooking
My suggestion in the historic centre for local, seasonal cooking. The site lists Wednesday closure, so do not count on it for 16 September without confirmation.
Historic centre · Lecce
Traditional Salento trattoria
My suggestion for homestyle Salento food in a simple setting. The venue describes traditional recipes and seasonal ingredients.
Via Papa Costantino I 3 · Otranto
Seafood / local cooking
My suggestion in central Otranto, selected from the Touring Club listing for seafood and local cooking. Confirm the menu and opening directly.
Your friend also recommended Porto Selvaggio, sunset at Leuca, Gallipoli and Polignano. These are recommendations for places, not endorsements of every restaurant listed in those towns.
A suggested, flexible itinerary with every night based in Torre Lapillo. Rental car confirmed. Switch beach days and outings around the weather; nothing here represents a reservation.

Valle d’Itria · Optional full-day outing
A day for trulli, winding lanes and a long lunch. Plan around 3–4 hours in town, plus travel; add Locorotondo only if you want a longer outing.
Start with the lanes of this historic trulli district. Take it slowly and respect doorways and homes; this is a neighbourhood as well as a place to visit.
Open in Maps ↗Cross to the larger trulli district for a wander through the sloping streets and craft shops. Suggested stop: the lanes around Via Monte San Michele.
Open in Maps ↗Head north to this two-storey trullo, now a house museum, behind the Basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian. Check current entry times and tickets before visiting.
Open in Maps ↗Leave room for lunch instead of rushing straight to another town. Look for orecchiette or bombette, the filled pork rolls associated with the Valle d’Itria. Restaurant choice is open.
Open in Maps ↗If you still feel like exploring, continue to Locorotondo for whitewashed lanes and valley views from Via Nardelli. Otherwise, head back to Torre Lapillo.

For this trip, I’d prioritise Lecce and Alberobello, then add Nardò for an easy evening. Pick what appeals and keep some beach time.
Walk between Piazza del Duomo and the Basilica di Santa Croce for the city’s Baroque architecture. Make it a slow town day with a café stop and dinner.
Fit it in: Use the flexible 16 September beach day, or trade another local beach afternoon.
Start in Piazza Salandra, then wander the streets of the historic centre. A good choice when you want a piazza and dinner after a beach day.
Fit it in: Add after a Torre Lapillo beach day, or choose it instead of dinner in Santa Caterina.
Explore the old town and waterfront, then visit the cathedral for its remarkable medieval floor mosaic. Confirm visitor access before planning around the interior.
Fit it in: Swap in for a beach day if you want a different stretch of coast; keep it separate from the northern towns.
Wander the whitewashed old town and walk along Via Nardelli for views over the Valle d’Itria. Allow a suggested 1–2 hours for a relaxed stroll.
Fit it in: An optional second stop after Alberobello, with time left for the return drive.
